"FIRST EDITION" is stated on copyright page, and 1971 is found on the title page. Boards are light green cloth with gold lettering on the spine and front, and with blind-stamped wreath also on the front. Endpapers are dark green. There is a possible first issue where a gutter code of "M4" is printed on the last page (page 569). However we have seen this code on all first editions we have examined, so we are not convinced that this is a first edition point. Dust jacket has a photo of the author by Alex Gotfryd on rear. The dust jacket lacks reviews and any mention of the book of the month club. Later issue dust jackets have a blue sticker on the front that says "Winner 1972 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction".
Angle of Repose book won the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.
To find the market value for this book, click on the pre-filled eBay, AbeBooks, or Biblio links to the right and look for comparable listings that have all of these first edition points.
